The South Cobb Arts Alliance (SCAA) is pleased to announce its national juried Art at the Avenue exhibit featuring all types of genre, medium, style, and technique in arts held at a unique exhibit space at Suite 820, The Avenue West Cobb, Marietta, Georgia.  All art is for sale and benefits the artists as well as our all volunteer arts nonprofit.

The event, which originally began in 1987, will be open to the public beginning July 18, 2026 until August 8 (Open Friday-Saturday, 10am to 5pm; Sunday noon to 5pm) with some extended hours for special dates within the event’s activities. Activity Calendar listed below.

Celebrating SCAA’s 54 years of art inspirations. Events will include collaborative music and performing arts presentations, live painting, cold wax art classes, demonstrations by local artists, and a free Veterans Appreciation series of classes.  Learn more about how Art makes our communities stronger. Receptions and Awards plus Musical Performances

Live Painting Event Activities

Live Painting  throughout the event beginning on July 19: SCAA Artists scheduled from noon to 2 and from 2 to 4 to do Live Painting during the exhibition.  Another great way to connect the community to art. Live Painting opportunities may be available.

Cold Wax Art Class Event Activities. Registration required.

July 19  and July 26 Cold Wax Art Classes with Susan Genson: Registration and $30 fee required for each session from 2-4, with limit of 6 students per class.  Registration button at end of this post (after venue location map).

Georgia Ballet Performances and Art Event Activities

July 25  and August 1 with Georgia Ballet: 11am and noon on both dates – Georgia Ballet presents a student contemporary solo; a student classical solo, a company solo, and more during this time period.  Coloring art and Pointe Shoes that can be decorated with fabric markers.  No reservations needed. First come basis for Georgia Ballet art sessions.  Spend the day with The Georgia Ballet!

Veterans Free Art Event Activity 

Artisan Market:

A market will feature additional opportunities to purchase art from the juried artists as well as from some of SCAA’s local fine artists and crafters who may not be included in the main juried exhibit.

Location: Suite 820 at the Avenue West Cobb  (The Avenue West Cobb ::: Marietta ::: GA) is an open-air lifestyle shopping center in Marietta, located at 3625 Dallas Highway, Marietta, GA 30064 and has an estimated annual foot traffic of 2.5-3 million. The venue is a large space to accommodate the national juried entries, a student middle-high school competition, a gift shop and interactive community events. Located 15 miles northwest of Atlanta, the location features an open-air, pedestrian friendly setting with a unique mix of retailers and restaurants to encourage guests to stroll, relax and stay awhile.
