Holiday Artfest + Market events and Christmas House Tea Room

Christmas season is a special time of year when everyone wants to find just that one-of-a-kind unique gift. SCAA has always celebrated the holidays with activities. But since 1984, SCAA has dedicated a special Christmas themed event with a juried arts and crafts market for local artists; a Christmas House Tea Room; and community activities for all ages.

The Holiday Artfest + Market and Christmas House Tea Room activities include student and community performances and holiday surprises held at the beautiful Ford Center in Powder Springs beginning this year on November 15-17, 2024.

Join us for the SCAA fundraiser event with blended holiday activities, gifts for the season, and special gifts to cherish. And, don’t forget the Christmas House Tea Room with its specialty menu options. Reservations are recommended for the Tea Room.

SCAA hosts the annual Holiday Artfest + Market with an ususual twist for both shoppers and artists. The art event is a beautifully staged indoor, juried holiday gift show to allow customers to browse in a relaxed environment, stop for a cup of tea or coffee, lunch and/or dessert. No rows of tents or booths. SCAA volunteers and artists will assist you. Each year, a different variety of items are set out from the Christmas trees covered in handmade student or artist ornaments, to hand crafted jewelry and fiber art. The event offers a broad selection of affordable, fine handcrafted gift items.

Applications for the SCAA annual juried arts and craft show opportunities are posted on this website’s event calendar as well as on SCAA social media. The event allows artists to drop off their artworks and volunteer a minimum of hours during the event from set up to takedown. A seprate entry category and posting is for fine art items which are exhibit ready wired and placed in the venue; details at calendar events.

Please sign up for SCAA e-mails to ensure you are notified and up-to-date about SCAA events. Artists, Committee members and volunteers are needed, as this is a fundraiser for SCAA as it is an all-volunteer arts nonprofit organization.

The City of Powder Springs Parade is usually scheduled on the first Friday in December. Join us by participating in the parde or as festive spectators watching the City of Powder Springs Parade and Tree Lighting activities. Check out the City’s holiday calendar.
