SCAA Staff

South Cobb Arts Alliance is truly honored to have the Georgia Symphony Orchestra join as an Arts Colloborative Partner at SCAA’s annual National Juried Exhibit- a blend of performing arts within the 32nd NJE visual art exhibit.

For over 69 years, the Georgia Symphony Orchestra has engaged audiences through imaginative programming, visionary leadership, and critically acclaimed performances.  With over 20,000 patrons annually and 700 people who make music in their ensembles, the Georgia Symphony Orchestra offers musical opportunities to the greater North Georgia and Metro-Atlanta region. The organization is built on the foundation of music appreciation and community involvement.

Join Georgia Symphony Orchestra Principal Harp Julie Koenig and Music Director Timothy Verville for an informal and informative trip though time! With music performed on harp, and accompanied by projected images, along with discussions from the stage, you will be able to see and hear how music and visual art have been intertwined from medieval times though today.

This “informance” will be held at the Patricia C. Vaughn Cultural Arts Center located at 4181 Atlanta Street in Powder Springs at 2:30PM on AUGUST 24.

Venue is set up for the SCAA’s 32nd  National Juried Art Exhibit with 89 pieces of art on display. As a free event there are no reservations, with available seating space limited on a first come first served basis.
