ARTIST CALL for upcoming SCAA Women’s History Art Exhibit

This will be the second year South Cobb Arts Alliance (SCAA) hosts a Women’s History Month Art Exhibit. SCAA is pleased to announce its Artist Call for this upcoming exhibition at the Rooted Trading Co, Powder Springs which will exhibit March 1 to May 3, 2022. See details below for Artist Registration. Artwork will be on display for approximately 2 months at this location.

Theme: The Ladies’ Preference, a selection of art to bring into focus a unique perspective featuring: their best work, favorite piece, or more, their preference. There is no restriction to the imagination and no barrier to creativity of our artists.

Registration Entry until February 24. Pre-registration required as exhibit is limited to one entry per artist, unless artwork represents a series. Sorry, there is no 3d artwork scheduled for this venue. Note: Number of on-line registrations may not reflect total registrations on-line as artists may opt to register at SCAA events.

ELIGIBILITY and ACKNOWLEDGEMENT for Submissions of Entry: As space is limited, artwork will be reviewed with an email acceptance notice regarding the artwork for this exhibit as well as details for the delivery of the artwork, pick up, etc.

  • SCAA members will not be required to pay a fee to submit, however, members will need to register their entry and photo(s) for review.
  • Non-SCAA artists will be charged $25 with $20 of which can be applied to any SCAA membership level in the next 30 days. (Not a member? Join Today at Or, complete the membership form .)

Note a suggestion that artwork wire be installed higher to lessen artwork tilting forward on the wire.
  • Artwork should be labeled on the back with information as to artist, title and pricing.
  • As this is a smaller, retail venue and art space is limited, not many large pieces can be accepted. Unless pre-approved, 2 D Artwork should be no larger than 24 X 36 or 30 X40 or smaller than 11”x14” including frame; and weigh no more than 25 lbs. Some larger pieces can be considered; but please contact the SCAA volunteer as to artwork specific information.

  • Image Requirements: Submit high resolution jpeg images, at least 150 dpi and no larger than 2 MB. Label each jpeg photo with the artist’s last name, first name, title of work. For example: DoeJohn-MyImage title.jpg . Images are used to promote the artwork on social media.
  • NOTE for on-line registration: Before you begin, you should select Member or Non-Member field and next to this indicator is a QTY number.  Click on the Registration button and please select SCAA Member or Non-Member with a Quantity of 1 (meaning one registration/one artist, not the number of work to be entered nor the number of pictures/images to upload). If you are having difficulty in the registration system with the uploading your photo images or the system seems to not be working, please recheck the Image Requirements.
