The fine art of Miles Davis spans an array of subject matter from spiritual figurative to politics, funky florals, and whimsical illustrations. His paintings borrow aesthetics from mass media, calling back to his generation’s culture of comic books and video games. The subject matter often portrays the contradictory impulses of people’s moral compasses and animal instincts, whether happy, remorseful, or brutal. Due to the diverse scope of emotion and transcendental qualities available in his pieces, Miles’s work has connected and resonated with a wide audience. In the end, he hopes the viewer can take from the work a sense of the universal human condition and possibly look inside themselves and evaluate their own spiritual sensitivities.
The artwork of Miles Davis has been embraced by thousands of people, worldwide. His paintings are included in corporate and private collections throughout the United States. Amid exhibiting in various local and regional galleries and shops, Miles also teaches art classes and private lessons to children and adults and is creator of the highly anticipated children’s books series Butterpup & friends™. Miles resides in Smyrna with his wife Merissa and their vivacious puppy Pica.
For me color symbolizes the mood of calmness in our minds, spirits, and our souls. It’s brings harmony, that’s pleasing to the eyes. It is the universal language of conversation to all of us. I try to tell a story through the vibrant colors that will speak to everyone’s heart. “So as I paint for you – Live your life in Full Color.
In my paintings, I strive to create a place for the observer to reside and experience it, to join in the work’s rhythm. Painting is my sanctuary, a place of refuge and contemplation, a hideout, a shrine, a place of new direction and a tribute to beauty.

"I feel it is in the heart, not the eye that should determine the content of the photograph. What the eyes see is its own, what the heart can perceive is a different matter." Gordon Parks My career has been in technology but a little over 2 years ago I picked up a camera and discovered my passion. One would think I would ease into the technical aspects of photography but it has been quite the opposite. Capturing images has provided me the expressive voice of what could be understood as my soul. There is a lot of beauty in the world and equal parts of the ugly. My intent is to capture images of my emotions to share and to spread awareness with an empathetic perspective. I've been labeled a "closet introvert and dweeb"...go figure but read the book "Quiet" and it may shed some light. I consider myself clever, not smart and I love it that way. Interests: People, Reading, Fitness, Parenting, SCUBA Diving, Vietnam History, African American History, Teaching Coloring and LAUGHTER!
I have always been taking pictures in my spare time but I became more serious about photography after I retired from an IT Senior Manager position at a pharmaceutical company.
I joined the Sweetwater Camera Club in Douglasville, GA and participated in many of the monthly competitions winning from Honorable Mention to 1st place several times; and placed second as Photographer of the Year in 2016. My winning images were published in the Chapel Hill News and Views and Douglas County Sentinel (local publications) and displayed at The Photo Spot in Douglasville. In addition, many of my images were accepted and displayed at various local juried art exhibitions and one of them received 1st prize, one 3rd price and two others Honorable Mention at juried exhibitions.
I take pictures of many different subjects while traveling and at home. Flowers have been of special interest to me as well as cityscapes and landscapes. I like taking photography to the next level creating different views of my images using various digital techniques. I enjoy using my pictures in creating coaster, magnets, greeting cards and photo albums telling a story of a travel or a family event.
Photography to me is the medium that helps me capture my subject in space and time and present it not only how I see it through my lens, but also how I envision and imagine it and want the viewer to see it. The original image is my canvas, and the computer and software are the tools I use to transform an image to art as I see it!

A little about MRamy Images
The purpose of my photography is to capture and express the beauty of Nature that has been a major influence in my life from childhood till today. Through the years I have improved my photographic skills while developing a particular sensitivity for capturing the essential esthetics and the importance of wildlife.
Born and raised in the Atlanta, Georgia area; I have been an avid Outdoorsman, Naturalist, Scuba Diver and Award-Winning Videographer and Photographer for the better part of my life and enjoy nature with a passion. My childhood and teenage years were a great adventure, as I spent all my summers, holidays and available weekends at my Grandfather’s ranch in Ocala, Florida on the Ocklawaha River or my Great Uncle’s farm in Fort Gaines, Georgia on the Chattahoochee River. These two locations offered nature, wildlife and river life at its best. The Natural World today is shrinking at an alarming rate. Many of the locations that I explored as a teenager and young adult in the 1960’s and 1970’s are no longer the pristine natural environments that I enjoyed.
I continue my outdoor adventures to this day with photography and river exploration aboard a custom designed camera boat built for the types of waters my clients and I tour for research, scuba diving, photography, bird watching or to simply access unspoiled nature at its best. I have a working knowledge of most all the navigable rivers and lakes in the Southeastern United States. A great deal of effort, planning, expense and countless hours in the field goes into the capturing of the photos in my ‘Nature Galleries’. My photography affords me the opportunity to convey the ‘Art of Nature’ towards educational pursuits. The proceeds from the sale and use of my images and my Guided River Tours are reinvested into my conservational efforts. My Services and Galleries are available for viewing at http://www.mikieproductions.com along with additional information about my photographic journeys. Thanks for taking the time to view my body of work and for purchasing my images for your own collection. Your contribution is helping to promote the awareness and preservation of Nature for future generations.

A photograph is more than just a picture capturing an image, it is a memory that can be kept forever. My approach to every session is for my lens to capture the moment beyond the image. Every click of the shutter showcases memories that will last well beyond your photo session.
It is important for me to connect personally with my clients so that I can capture not only their beauty, but the personality in each photo. My goal is not only for my client, but those looking at the photo, to see the story behind the image. Whether it’s a personal memory of the session or the story portrayed through the life of the photograph, a LBDP photo takes you on a journey, even if just for a few minutes.
